hi helene,

just came across your site, and found interesting :) by the way, can you please share your sans rival recipe with me, my email add is alcbarile@yahoo.com

looking forward on this and thank you in advance. God bless

anna

Helene @ Home... Cooking said...

Hi Mellanie... yes. i revised the posting. butter and margarine to be mixed together.

heny said that some people would love to use pure butter. it's tastier. however, the buttercream will melt fast if using without margarine mixture. thus, she combined them together.

Hi Helene! Your Sans Rival looks yummy. Thanks for sharing the recipe! I was wondering if Sans Rival could be made without the nuts, as my child is allergic to nuts. I imagine I could just omit it on the buttercream but would the meringue still hold without the nuts? I was hoping she also taught how to make it without the nuts and if you would be kind enough to share the recipe with me. I love Sans Rival but can't have it at home because of son's allergy. My email is jane4kps@aol.com

Thanks,
Jane

for those who needs the sans rival recipe, please check link above. i posted it here in my blog.

good luck and enjoy. have fun baking!

helene.

Helene @ Home... Cooking said...

hi jane... by all means you can make sans rival without nuts. the meringue will still hold for sure with the buttercream. try replacing nuts with philippine dried mangoes or dried jackfruit. fresh fruits will get squashed. and its juice will make your sans rival soggy. give it shot. :)

Thanks Helene! Now do I need to replace some of the nuts with flour for stability?

Hi Ms. Helene. i just read your sans rival recipe. i was a little bit confused with the part for the butter cream procedure. Is the procedure that says "boil the sugar and water" should be on that part or that is for the merengue part? Also what does "pour in a stream" means? I would appreciate it if you could email me the recipe and procedure docjime@yahoo.com Thank you so much in advance.
